Connecting to a File Server on a Mac to Store Personal Files

Our process for transitioning personal files from the the old location to a new "H: Drive" might confuse some Mac users because Macs don't use drive letters like Windows 10. These steps will let you connect to the new file server for storing your personal files.

Connect to a Server on MacOS

In the Finder menu bar, click on the Go menu and select Connect to Server...

In the Connect to Server dialog box, enter the following address, using your actual S number:

smb://ACCFS2.ccc.ccofc.edu/users$/S00000000

The next dialog asks for your login information. In the Name field, make sure to use the ccc\S00000000 convention. Your S number alone won't work.

After a connection is made, you can drag the drive from the Finder window to your dock for future access.
