If your laptop is turning off it's display after 20 minutes of inactivity while plugged in, and you don't want it to do that, follow these instructions.

For laptops, it is recommended that when it is on battery that you don't set it to never. 20 minutes should be the max. It is okay for when it is plugged in. If you computer loses power by running out of battery, this can corrupt your hard drive and data.

1. Go to the Start - > Settings.

2. Click System.

3. Click Power & Sleep.

4. There are two power settings for turning off the screen and having the computer going to sleep. It is best for these times to be the same.

5. Click the arrow next to When plugged in and change it to the time frame you want.

    a. If you want it to never turn off, click Never.

    b. Do it for both options.

6. Now, the power option for while plugged in is set to never.
