Clearing the Cache in Chrome
- Do one of the following:
- From the “Menu”
button in the upper-right corner of the Chrome window, choose “More Tools” > “Clear browsing data“.
- Press “CTRL” + “Shift” + “Delete” keys in Windows or Linux, or “Command” + “Shift” + “Delete” keys on MacOS.
- Select “Menu” > “Settings” > "Privacy & Security" > “Clear browsing data“.
- From the “Menu”
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Select the period All Time and select all of the items except for Saved passwords and Autofill form data.
- Select the “Clear data” button.
- Exit out of Chrome completely.
- Reopen Chrome.
Clearing the Cache in Mozilla Firefox
Clear the cache
- Click the menu button
and select .
- Select the panel.
- In the Cookies and Site Data section, click
- Remove the check mark in front of Cookies and Site Data.
- For more information about managing site data, see Manage local site storage settings.
- With Cached Web Content check marked, click the button.
- Close the about:preferences page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.
Click the Library button

Automatically clear the cache
You can set Firefox to automatically clear the cache when Firefox closes:
- Click the menu button
and select .

Select the
panel and go to the History section. - In the drop-down menu next to Firefox will, choose
. - Select the check box for Clear history when Firefox closes.
- Beside Clear history when Firefox closes, click the button. The Settings for Clearing History window will open.
- In the Settings for Clearing History window, put a check mark next to Cache.
- For more information on the other options, see Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox.
- Click to close the Settings for Clearing History window.
- Close the about:preferences page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.
Clearing the Cache in Internet Explorer
- Select Tools (via the Gear Icon) > Safety > Delete browsing history....
NOTE: You can also access this menu by holding Ctrl + Shift + Delete.
- Make sure to uncheck Preserve Favorites website data and check both Temporary Internet Files and Cookies then click Delete.
- You will get a confirmation at the bottom of the window once it has successfully cleared your cache and cookies.
Further Troubleshooting
The above procedure for clearing cache and cookies should work for the majority of websites. Some websites and applications require a more thorough procedure. If you are still having issues, try to steps below.
- Note: The F12 developer tools in Internet Explorer 11 do not include a cache menu. This process will only work for IE10 or lower.

Close out of Internet Options. Click on Tools and select Developer Tools.

In the Developer Tools window, click on Cache and select Clear Browser Cache...

Click Yes to confirm the clearing of the browser cache.
