Launch OneDrive on your PC from the Start menu

If this is the first time, log in with your email address, network password on next screen

Click next on the tutorial screens.


Click Later when asked about the mobile app

When you Open my OneDrive, you should see your familiar File Explorer

Always use

for your work files

Let’s check settings: click the blue cloud icon in the right taskbar and click Settings

(blue means connected!)

Select the Backup tab and click Manage backup

Make sure Desktop, Documents, and Pictures are checked, then click Start backup

Share a file

  • In File Explorer, right-click on the file and select Share

Share a file

  • Start typing the last name of the person with whom you want to share the document
  • Click Send. The recipient will receive an email inviting them to open the document



OneDrive can be accessed several ways
  • Via the web at
  • Using the OneDrive app on your work computer 
  • Logging into an iPad, iPhone or other device that has OneDrive installed
